Kingsize will always remain my favourite bar in the world. Even though it has been closed for almost a decade. And now my friends it is possible to rent the former legendary Berlin nightlife venue one last time for single events until this summer.

The available space also includes the old backyard and two additional large rooms on the ground floor providing enough overall capacity for 300+ guests in a standing setup.

I have been many times and I can’t recall one night where the music did not catch fire. But I do remember making friends with strangers because once inside, strange we were not. Entering King Size was not a meaningless act.

At no other place would I have met Herbert Groenemeyer let alone casually talk to him with a beer in his hand. Who else remembers entering the small dance floor with a big smile? I would love to hear your stories, if you care to share them.

No other place and it’s carefully curated lineup shaped my taste in music and my own bookings more than Kingsize.

King Size was never only a bar. It was many things at once but if I had to describe it in the shortest way possible I would say this: A masterclass in nightlife hospitality in the form of a small red lighted dance-bar.

Thus I am super grateful for this rare opportunity before the upcoming renovations will destroy the old space forevermore.
