Celebrate your wedding anniversary: Anniversary party in an extraordinary industrial location

Some occasions are worth celebrating again in a big way. It was with exactly this wish that a couple approached us:

„For our 5th wedding anniversary, we would like to throw a big party again.“

The civil wedding had already taken place a few years prior with a small group. Now, the union was to be celebrated appropriately with family and friends – but consciously without a classic wedding character. No ceremony, no traditional proceedings, but a modern celebration that reflects the couple's personality.

An exceptional location for an anniversary party

For the celebration, a former industrial hall in Frankfurt was chosen, which is now used as a stylish studio and event location. The industrial charm offered the perfect setting for a relaxed, urban atmosphere and left plenty of room for individual design.

Together with the couple, we developed a concept that perfectly matched their vision. From the initial idea to the last guest, we accompanied the complete planning and execution of the event.

Full-Service Planning from a Single Source

As an event agency, we handled the entire organization, including:

  • Location selection and coordination
  • Furnishing and Interior Design
  • Decoration
  • DJ & Entertainment
  • Lighting and Sound Technology
  • Creative event catering with individual drink and bar concepts, street food area, and cereal bar
  • Event day workflow planning and coordination

This allowed our customers to fully concentrate on their guests and the special occasion.

Italian street food meets industrial charm

Lovingly arranged antipasti were already waiting on the tables for the reception, providing a relaxed start to the evening.

Afterwards, the catering became a real experience: an Italian food truck served freshly prepared Pinsa and pasta right in front of the venue. Thanks to the ground-level access and the large roll-up door, the food truck could be perfectly integrated into the event concept. The boundaries between the indoor and outdoor areas blurred, creating a casual, communicative atmosphere – almost like a small street food festival.

The personal highlight: A cereal bar as a midnight snack

Every event thrives on the details that make it unique. For this celebration, that was clearly the midnight snack.

Since the couple are big cereal fans, we surprised guests with a lovingly designed cereal bar. Everything was included, from popular classics to unusual international varieties. The concept was complemented by various milk alternatives, so everyone could put together their very own personalized bowl.

An unusual program item that was a perfect fit for the hosts and will be remembered by the guests for a long time.

Private Celebrations with Personality

Whether it's a wedding, anniversary, birthday, or any other occasion – the most beautiful celebrations arise when they reflect the people who host them.

This is precisely why we don't develop off-the-shelf events, but rather individual concepts that combine personality, location, and atmosphere. From finding the right event location to complete realization, we professionally support private celebrations just as much as corporate events – with attention to detail and a feel for special ideas.

Are you planning a private celebration and looking for an extraordinary location or support with the organization? We will help you turn your idea into an unforgettable experience.

Mercedes-Benz Video Shooting Bautz am Main

Own off-location for film production of Mercedes Benz web series for rent

When authentic industrial architecture meets modern storytelling, film productions with a special character emerge. For Main feature as an event and location agency, we were allowed to find the perfect backdrop for the Mercedes-Benz Provide the web series „Inside Action“: our own off-location Bautz am Main in Hanau – perfect for film, photo, and advertising productions.

The right location for an authentic production

For the web series, a location was requested that was urban, authentic, and adaptable. With the listed industrial halls of the Bautz on the Main provided a backdrop that met these requirements exactly.

High ceilings, spacious hall areas, visible steel structures, and the unmistakable industrial charm create an atmosphere that can be staged in a versatile way – from commercials and image productions to series and social media formats.

In film productions, in particular, the location plays a crucial role. It should not only be visually convincing but also offer enough space for technology, lighting setups, camera teams, and production processes. Bautz am Main combines all these requirements.

    Mercedes-Benz „Inside Action“

Mainfilm developed the web series „Inside Action“ for Mercedes-Benz, offering exciting behind-the-scenes glimpses into the company. The focus is on authentic stories, modern work environments, and the people behind the brand. The serial format relies on dynamic visuals and cinematic staging – an ideal combination with the raw architecture of Bautz am Main.

The industrial aesthetic of the location creates an exciting contrast with the modern vehicles and emphasizes the high-quality look of the production.

Why Film Productions Love Industrial Locations

Industrial halls have been among the most sought-after filming locations for years. The reason is obvious:

    • authentic character instead of interchangeable studio look
    • Spacious areas for complex setups
    • versatile, multi-purpose rooms
    • Natural structures and materials with high visual impact
    • ideal conditions for photo, film, and advertising productions

With its mix of history, architecture, and flexibility, Bautz am Main offers precisely these qualities.

Our Service: Rental of Off-Spaces & Industrial Halls for Creative Productions

For the production of the Mercedes-Benz web series, we at Mainfilm provided access to our own off-location Bautz am Main and were able to offer the perfect setting for their film production.

Drawing on our experience in leasing off-spaces and industrial warehouses, we support our clients by providing access to unique venues for their projects—in a straightforward, flexible manner and with an eye for creative needs.

Bautz am Main – An Off-Location with Character

Bautz am Main is one of the most extraordinary industrial locations in the Rhine-Main region. The listed buildings on the Hanau banks of the Main river offer countless possibilities for film productions, commercial shoots, photo shoots, events, and brand presentations.

The combination of historic industrial charm, flexible spaces, and easy accessibility makes this location a popular choice for creative agencies, production companies, and businesses.

We thank Mainfilm for the pleasant collaboration and are pleased that the Bautz am Main was once again able to become the stage for a high-quality production.

Ardian Company Summer Festival in Frankfurt - Exterior view of the historic hunting lodge as an event location

Company Summer Festival with Over 100 Guests - A Complete Success

Almost a year of planning, countless ideas, and various location suggestions – until finally the perfect setting was found.

Everything had to be just right for Ardian company's summer party. What we couldn't plan for, however, was the weather. That's why we considered a bad-weather option from the very beginning. A decision that paid off: At short notice, the majority of the event had to be moved indoors, and yet it was a thoroughly successful celebration.

In total, we welcomed just over 100 guests – Ardian employees and their families. With a varied children's program, delicious food, refreshing drinks, an inspiring speech from the CEO, and the special atmosphere of the hunting lodge, there was something for everyone, young and old.

Exactly these moments show that a successful event doesn't depend on the weather, but on foresightful planning, flexibility, and a strong team behind the scenes.

Akamai Segmentation Hub Frankfurt – Cybersecurity Conference with Speakers and Participants

Akamai Segmentation Hub Frankfurt – Cybersecurity Conference

With the Akamai Segmentation Hub We were able to accompany a two-day conference in Frankfurt that brought together experts, customers, and partners from the cybersecurity industry. The focus was on personal exchange, practical insights, and how companies can meet the growing challenges of IT security.

The diverse program offered exciting keynotes, expert presentations, panel discussions, and numerous networking opportunities. Thematic focus included, among others Microsegmentation, Zero Trust Strategies, Business Resilience as well as the impact of artificial intelligence on cybersecurity. Especially in light of powerful AI models, modern security concepts and effective containment strategies are gaining increasing importance.

In addition to the content-focused sessions, the open exchange among participants was a key success factor. Experiences from real projects, best practices, and personal conversations made the event a valuable platform for knowledge transfer and new impulses.

As an event agency, our goal was to create optimal conditions for precisely this exchange – from the preparation and coordination of the two-day program to on-site support. Thoughtful participant guidance, professional processes, and a pleasant atmosphere ensured that guests could fully concentrate on the content and personal dialogue.

A heartfelt thank you to our customer Akamai, all speakers, and the numerous participants who enriched the Akamai Segmentation Hub in Frankfurt with their expertise, questions, and dedication.

Enlightened apple orchards in the evening

Summer celebration in the green – special moments among apple orchards

Sometimes, it doesn't take much to create an unforgettable summer celebration: a unique location, good company, thoughtful details, and an atmosphere that invites you to linger.

In the middle of apple orchards, a place was created where one could leave everyday life behind. Surrounded by lush greenery and rows of apple trees, a festively set table invited shared enjoyment. There was freshly squeezed apple juice and local apple wine – perfectly fitting the surroundings and a real treat for the guests. The day was rounded off with a relaxed barbecue buffet under the open sky.

As the sun set, the string lights bathed the plantation in warm light, the trees were atmospherically illuminated, creating a memorable ambiance. Between the lit rows of trees, conversations, encounters, and moments arose, which are exactly what make an event successful.

Whether it's a summer party, customer event, team evening, anniversary, birthday, or a small gathering – an event amidst apple orchards shows that special experiences often arise where nature, enjoyment, and hospitality meet.

City View Event Location Frankfurt – Event Space with Main River Panorama

25th Wikipedia Anniversary with a Party in Frankfurt!

Wikimedia already commissioned us last year for nationwide scouting for this year's Futures Lab and organizing their 25th anniversary party for Wikipedia with guests from 120 countries. We were able to convince them to choose Frankfurt as the venue, not only because of the Frankfurt Airport, but also because, in addition to the super comfortable infrastructure, there is now a decent selection of cool locations.

The Wikimedians still had enough energy after their Future Conference for a party late into the night. Regarding the release of photos from the anniversary celebration, we unfortunately have to hold back. But you can believe us, it was wild, positively nerdy, merry, and dance-filled.

To the next 25 years of Wikipedia!

Gucci Event Location Frankfurt – Exclusive Company Event in a Special Off-Location

Gucci at the Siemens Area Frankfurt: How an off-location became the place for an exclusive secret event

Gucci, the Siemens site, and a night that isn't announced.

Some projects are best told as they happened: invited rather than announced, for the right people, without public fanfare.

In 2018, Gucci approached us. The fashion house was touring five select cities worldwide with its „Gucci World of Electronic Music Tour“ – and for the Frankfurt stop, they weren't looking for a classic event venue. They were seeking a location that couldn't be Googled. A place with substance, with history, with the right raw feel.

At that time, we were managing the Siemens site in Frankfurt as part of a cultural interim use project. An industrial site with a history, with halls that still smelled of work. Exactly right.

One night. 250 guests. Helena Hauff.

We organized everything: concept, implementation, production – and designed the evening to feel as if it had been stumbled upon by chance. 250 invited guests from all over the world, handpicked like the location itself.

The musical heart of the event came from Hamburg: Helena Hauff, one of the most uncompromising techno DJs of her generation, played in a room that we specially repurposed for the occasion, even though it wasn't originally intended for that. That's precisely why it worked.

              The pictures say the rest.

Union Investment Tower Frankfurt – Basement Pools Location Scouting Special Off-Location

When the crime scene rings – Location scouting under pressure

Sometimes the best collaboration starts with an emergency.

The production team of Hessischer Rundfunk was in the midst of preparations for the 1247th Tatort episode – „Murot and Paradise“ starring Ulrich Tukur – when a promised main location unexpectedly fell through. The shooting schedule was set. The crew was booked. And suddenly the centerpiece was missing: the place where the story was supposed to take place.

You called us for a new location scout.

One week. Tens of thousands of square meters. Two skyscrapers.

What followed was exactly what we founded UEBERRAUM for. No long lead times, no cumbersome briefing – we knew the city, we knew the spaces, and we knew immediately where to look.

Within a week we had a solution: two vacant high-rise buildings in Frankfurt with tens of thousands of square meters – empty, silent, and with an atmosphere that no studio building in the world could have delivered.

The one was Union West, our very own pop-up space, then still in operation. A place with history, with charm, with that special feeling of departure and transience that we've always loved. The other was the disused Intercontinental Hotel next door – deserted corridors, empty ballrooms, an almost surreal heaviness in every room.

For a crime scene involving secret banker parties, a club called „Paradise,“ and the dark promise of eternal happiness, there could have been no more fitting stage.

                The rest is film history

Filming took place in November and December 2022, with the film premiering in August 2023 at the Festival des Deutschen Films in Ludwigshafen—nominated for the Rheingold Audience Award. The first broadcast on ARD on October 22, 2023, was watched by nearly six million people, achieving over 21 percent market share.

Director Florian Gallenberger – an Oscar winner, a master of grand visuals – has created something unusual with this Tatort episode. A film that disregards genre boundaries, that references Kubrick and Tarantino, that philosophizes while also entertaining. FAZ, Spiegel, taz, and Tagesspiegel were enthusiastic. The audience was divided – which is almost a tradition with Murot Tatort episodes and somehow part of what makes them so good.

That some of these pictures were taken in rooms we made possible in just one week still makes us a little proud today.

                What remains

The Union West Pop-Up Space is no more. The Intercontinental remains vacant. But the locations live on on millions of screens – in one of the most discussed crime scenes of recent years.

That's perhaps the most beautiful thing about our work: spaces that are actually at the end of their time get one last big moment. And sometimes, from that moment, something remains.

Here is the crime scene in the ARD Media Library.

Dondorf Printing House Frankfurt Bockenheim – Temporary Use Pop-Up Location

Intermediate use of the Schirn in the Dondorf printing works

The Schirn will celebrate its 40th anniversary in May 2026. Congratulations from us too!

Most Frankfurt residents know that the Schirn has temporarily moved to the old Dondorf print shop. Few know that this would not have been possible so quickly without our contribution. Therefore, we are especially happy to have finally found the time to report on it.

While it wasn't our first collaboration with a cultural institution or even a museum. Even in his early days as an event organizer, our CEO was able to arrange programs and nights for several special events at the Städel.

But we didn't see that coming, that we, as experts in interim use, would be allowed to transform an old industrial printing house into a temporary museum for modern art.

© Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt 2025, Photos: Norbert Miguletz

What exactly were our tasks and what did the process look like?

Essentially, we had to be quick because the move-out date for the Schirn am Römer was already set, with no replacement in sight. We can proudly say today that we couldn't have worked any faster.

After commissioning the research and feasibility study of suitable vacant properties, we first did what is essentially our daily bread:

Systematically scouted the market for vacancies. At that time, the Max Planck Institute was still in its planning stages for the Dondorf printing works, which would have led to demolition. These plans ultimately resulted in protests and the occupation of the property, which is owned by the state of Hesse.

After the police occupation was lifted around Christmas 2023, we proposed the Dondorf printing house to the city, state, and Schirn as a potential interim use for the Schirn. Subsequently, we represented the Schirn's interests in preparation and planning towards the state and Goethe University, and on the other hand, ensured that the endless amount of information that needs to be processed for a project of this magnitude reached all stakeholders as quickly as possible. Thus, we did what many project managers from other fields are also familiar with: condensing a lot of information into clear data to provide quick decision-making bases for the next steps.

In addition, we have assembled a team consisting of architect Bjoern Tensi Schmidt and specialist planners from previous projects of our own, with whom we have had positive experiences in planning interim uses. Since close-knit and well-coordinated teamwork is particularly important for interim uses, our experience has enabled us to help all those involved reach their respective goals more quickly.

We continued to be the central interface for budgeting, owner representation, and process optimization until the handover to the general contractor, who carried out the renovation work as part of the change of use.

                  Company event in Frankfurt off-location

Business talks in an extraordinary off-location: Company event in a former Mercedes truck workshop in Frankfurt

Company event in former Mercedes truck workshop in Frankfurt

In the fall of 2018, as part of a temporary use project, we had the opportunity to transform a former Mercedes truck workshop in Frankfurt am Main into an extraordinary event location for an exclusive corporate event. For our client from the private equity sector, we created a unique combination of dinner, networking, and inspiring exchange in an industrial atmosphere.

The „Entrepreneur Talks“ event brought together investors, partners, and clients of the internationally active private equity group with locations in Germany and Switzerland. The evening offered opportunities for personal conversations, new connections, and inspiring insights – accompanied by a keynote speech, high-quality catering, and live jazz music.

The event shows that innovative company events and corporate events are no longer just held in classic hotels or conference rooms. Extraordinary off-locations in Frankfurt, in particular, create a special atmosphere for networking events, customer events, and exclusive business dinners.

Especially exciting: During the first viewing, the former workshop was hardly recognizable as a later premium event location. It is precisely these temporary interim uses and urban industrial backdrops that make up the special character of many of our event concepts.

Below you can see the photos from the first viewing – barely recognizable, right?
